St Andrews is one of the best places to visit in Fife and, in my opinion, worth at least one full day. It’s famous for its university, medieval ruins, coastline, and golf. Everything thinks it is only golf and that is the main attraction, however, the town is beautiful and fun to walk around.

- 🏰 St Andrews Castle – dramatic coastal castle ruins with underground tunnels and a fascinating history.
- 🎓 University of St Andrews – founded in 1413, it’s the oldest university in Scotland and one of the oldest in the English-speaking world.
- 🌊 West Sands Beach – a huge sandy beach stretching along the coast; famously featured in Chariots of Fire.
- 🏘️ Town center – attractive old streets, cafés, restaurants, and university buildings.
