The Moke Dugway (Utah Route 261) is a dramatic 3-mile, unpaved switchback road carved into the side of Cedar Mesa in southeastern Utah. Built in 1958 for mining trucks, it climbs 1,100 feet at an 11% grade, offering stunning views of Valley of the Gods and Monument Valley. It is passable for most cars but dangerous, featuring no guardrails, steep drops, and narrow gravel, requiring careful, slow driving.

The views are incredible and the drive is not as scary as it looks. Just drive slow and stay away from the edges.
