Waimea Canyon, often referred to as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” is a breathtaking natural landmark on Kauai, Hawaii. Waimea Canyon is located on the western side of Kauai. It stretches approximately 14 miles long, 1 mile wide, and over 3,600 feet deep. The canyon was formed by erosion from the Waimea River and other natural forces over millions of years, creating its distinctive deep, reddish-brown, and green hues.
There are amazing lookouts and some hikes. A truly spectacular place.
