Vancouver, a bustling west coast seaport in British Columbia, is among Canada’s densest and most ethnically diverse cities. It is known for its scenic beauty, surrounded by mountains and ocean, and vibrant cultural scene.
Vancouver has the 2nd largest Chinatown in North America and we so excited and then disappointed to eat there. As we were walking there, we experienced homeless like never before seen. 100’s or 1000’s all over the streets, just so sad. We read about it after and it is really bad.
We rented bicycles in Stanley Park which we highly recommend. We also spent time at Granville Island which is also a must see in town.
Vancouver is amazingly diverse. Close to 50% of the city is of Asian decent. Other than Chinatown, the city is clean, the food was good, the people were nice. There is a lot of traffic so allow plenty of time to drive anywhere. It is also not cheap, but well worth the visit. This was our 2nd time here, almost 30 years ago, we visited Vancouver and Victoria.
