Stone Town is the historic heart of Zanzibar City, on the west coast of Unguja (the main island of Zanzibar). It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, famous for its maze-like alleys, coral-stone architecture, spice markets, and deep blend of African, Arab, Indian, and European influences.

Freddie Mercury’s Birthplace: The legendary Queen singer was born here in 1946; the house is marked but mainly a photo stop.

There are some amazing doors, galleries, shops and of course markets.
