Sorrento is a beautiful and popular coastal town in southern Italy, located on the Sorrentine Peninsula overlooking the Bay of Naples. Known for its stunning views, charming streets, and as a gateway to the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento is a favorite destination for travelers exploring this part of Italy. It combines natural beauty with rich cultural heritage, making it a perfect base for visiting nearby attractions like Capri, Pompeii, and Naples.
We would have liked to spend more time in Sorrento, but did a great little walk around the cliffs to a fabulous restaurant on the cliffs. We sat out at the rocky beach, but it was almost impossible to get into the water due to the rocks.
The rocky beach near the American Bar in Sorrento, Italy, is a picturesque spot along the Amalfi Coast. The beach is characterized by its rugged shoreline, with large rocks and pebbles leading into the clear, turquoise waters of the Mediterranean. The cliffs surrounding the area provide stunning views, and the atmosphere is tranquil, with the sound of waves gently crashing against the rocks. The nearby American Bar adds a touch of sophistication, offering refreshing drinks and a comfortable place to relax while enjoying the natural beauty of the Sorrento coastline.
