Silver Falls State Park

Silver Falls State Park, located in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, is renowned for its stunning collection of waterfalls and lush forest scenery. It’s a great destination for hiking, photography, and nature exploration. We visited on a busy Saturday and the parking lots were almost full at 11a. There is a $5 permit fee to park and once we found a spot, we packed up and started to the Trail of Ten Falls.

  • Length: Approximately 8.7 miles (14 km) round trip.
  • Features: A loop trail that passes by ten waterfalls, offering a variety of scenic views and access to different waterfall viewpoints.
  • Difficulty: Moderate, with some sections that can be steep and muddy. We didn’t find it difficult as the incline was over miles and not too steep.
  • The hike was very nice and if in the area I would certainly recommend it.
