This was our first stop in Chile. We love the country as it is so diverse and there is so much see. We went on a terrific walking tour here and probably had the best empanadas we’ve ever had.
Santiago, Chile, has a gondola system called Teleférico Santiago. This cable car system offers stunning views of the city and the surrounding Andes Mountains. It runs through the Metropolitan Park of Santiago, connecting the areas of Providencia and Huechuraba, with various stops along the way, including the popular San Cristóbal Hill. The gondola is a great way to enjoy panoramic vistas and is a popular attraction for both tourists and locals. After a day in Santiago we toured a winery then set off for Valparaiso and Vin de Mar two adjacent cities on the coast. This is where I had the worst food poisoning of my life. I missed much of the tour but Wendy got to see the art.
