Ripoll is a historic town in the Catalonia region of northeastern Spain, nestled in the Pyrenees mountains. Known for its significant historical and cultural heritage, Ripoll is often referred to as the “Cradle of Catalonia” due to its important role in the region’s history.
We planned a day trip through the Pyrenees, driving from Barcelona, to Vic to Ripoll, to Queralbs and finally to the Regional Park of the Catalan Pryenees. We didn’t make it to the park as we spent more time in each city than anticipated, but the trip was so much fun and get had a bite, drink or coffee in each town. Ripoll is about 30 minutes from Vic.
