Rhodes Old Town: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the medieval Old Town is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe. Its cobbled streets, ancient walls, and historical buildings like the Palace of the Grand Masters offer a fascinating glimpse into the past.

Rhodes old town was one of our favorite towns. We spent the daytime at beaches and took a taxi into the old city each night. We stayed just out of town at the Sheraton, so we needed a taxi.

The Colossus of Rhodes was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The statue stood at the entrance of the harbor of the ancient city of Rhodes, which is located on the island of Rhodes in Greece.The Colossus was a massive bronze statue of the sun god Helios. It was approximately 33 meters (108 feet) high, making it one of the tallest statues of the ancient world. It was erected to celebrate Rhodes’ victory over Cyprus in 305 BCE. The pictures below are where the Colossus stood in ancient times.

Ancient Kameiros is an important archaeological site, Ancient Kameiros provides insights into ancient Greek city planning and architecture. It’s less crowded than other sites, offering a more tranquil exploration experience.
