Path of the Gods

One of our all time favorites.

The Path of the Gods, or “Sentiero degli Dei” in Italian, is one of the most famous and scenic hiking trails in Italy, located on the Amalfi Coast. It offers breathtaking views of the coastline, the Tyrrhenian Sea, and the surrounding mountains, making it a popular destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts.

Key Features of the Path of the Gods:

  1. Spectacular Views: The trail provides panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast, including the towns of Positano and Praiano, as well as the island of Capri in the distance. The stunning vistas are a major draw for hikers.
  2. Route: The main section of the Path of the Gods runs from the small town of Bomerano, a hamlet of Agerola, to Nocelle, a village above Positano. We took a taxi from the hotel to Bomerano at 6a to get an early start. The hike typically takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on pace and stops for photos or rest. When you get to Nocelle, there are a lot of steps to get down to the road, if you turn right you go back to Positano. We continued left and walked down to the beach and Da Adolfo. Da Adolfo is an awesome beach restaurant. We didn’t have a reservation, but you need one and then we took the boat from the restaurant back to Positano.

The views from the restaurant.
