Newport, Rhode Island

Newport, Rhode Island, is a historic seaside city known for its Gilded Age mansions, scenic coastline, sailing culture, and colonial-era charm. There is a lot to do there, but the three things we did many years ago are below. I wish we had better pictures, we really liked Newport but were there so long ago.

The Newport Mansions – Tour opulent homes like The Breakers, Marble House, and Rosecliff, once summer “cottages” for wealthy families like the Vanderbilts.

Cliff Walk – A 3.5-mile scenic trail along the coast with views of the ocean and backyards of mansions.

The Beach – Wow we were young
