Montserrat Monastery (Monestir de Montserrat) is a Benedictine abbey founded in the 11th century, located on the mountain’s summit. We drove early and got a spot up at the top. If you wait you will have a much bigger walk to get up to the Monastery. It was beautiful and a great 1/2 day trip from Barcelona.
