Montreal is an awesome city — very lively, culturally rich, with great food, arts, nature, and history.

Montreal is in the province of Quebec, Canada. It’s on an island (Île de Montréal) in the St. Lawrence River. French is the main language, but many people also speak English (especially in tourist areas).

A mix of European flair + North American energy. Old architecture, modern districts, lots of green spaces, festivals, food of all kinds, and strong arts culture. The food is amazing. We had several great meals including maybe the best pancakes we ever had at Arthur’s Nosh.

Old Montreal or Viewx-Montreal is by far our favorite part of the city. It has cobblestone streets, old-world architecture, charming cafés, the waterfront. Great for walking.

The food is amazing. Lunch at Schwatz’s Deli, Breakfast at Arthur’s Nosh, Dinner at Stash and Modavie in Old Montreal. The line at Schwatz’s looks long but moves quickly. The bar below is the coldroom, hard to find, but well worth it.
