Maligne Lake is one of the most iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies. Located about 48 km (30 miles) south of the town of Jasper in Jasper National Park, it is renowned for its deep blue water, surrounding peaks, and the famous Spirit Island.
We took the scenic cruise to Spirit Island which is the park’s most photographed landmark, only accessible by boat.
We had a great scenic boat ride and a few short hikes.
