We only visited this city briefly to catch our flight home. Spending just an evening there, we were advised that the city wasn’t particularly safe. Taking a taxi from our hotel to what seemed like the only safe area, we felt a bit apprehensive. Despite our concerns, we managed to enjoy drinks, dinner, and a stroll along the promenade. While the experience was pleasant enough, we didn’t see enough to recommend this city as a destination worth exploring further.
