Grand Canyon National Park South Rim

We have been to the South Rim four times and the North Rim once. They are similar but different and about 4 hours apart by car, so there are separate posts here for each rim.

The Grand Canyon, one of the most iconic natural wonders in the world, is located in northern Arizona, USA. It’s renowned for its immense size, stunning geological formations, and breathtaking views.

We visited in the heat and in the snow and ice. The views are different all the time and each time we like the park more and more.

We hiked half way down twice from the south rim, on Bright Angel Trail and South Kaibab Trail. Hiking down is easy, coming back up is very very difficult.
