Girdwood, Alaska, is a charming and picturesque town located about 40 miles southeast of Anchorage, nestled in the Chugach Mountains. Girdwood is home to Alyeska Resort, Alaska’s largest ski area, offering a range of slopes and terrain for skiing and snowboarding. The resort also features beautiful views of Turnagain Arm and the surrounding mountains.
We took the gondola to the top of the mountain and also visited the animal recuse park. We were able to observe the bears up close.
