Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory located at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula. It is known for its strategic location, fascinating history, and iconic natural landmarks.

  • The Rock of Gibraltar: The most famous landmark, this limestone promontory offers stunning views of the surrounding area, including the Mediterranean Sea and, on clear days, the coast of Africa.

We loved our day in Gibraltar, especially the barberry apes which would not get off Wendy’s head. They can be dangerous. ]

The one big mistake we made was driving in, we should have parked in Spain and walked across. We spent over 2 hours getting out through customs and from what we were told they slow it down on purpose because the Spanish do not like that the British own a piece of land there. The airport runway is very cool, there is a street that crosses it and has to shut when planes take off and land.

Overall, we were very impressed and glad we spent time here. There is tremendous history.

The Apes on Wendy’s head, they were great at first but we couldn’t get them off.

The town was cute also.

There are tunnels built for protection, but now they have concerts there.

More Apes.
