It’s home to a variety of wildlife, including alligators, manatees, and numerous bird species, making it a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and bird watchers.

This Park is the 3rd largest in the United States outside of Alaska. The park spans over 1.5 million acres and features a range of habitats, from sawgrass marshes to mangroves and pine forests. Visitors can explore the area through various activities, including hiking, canoeing, and guided tours. The park also plays a crucial role in water conservation and serves as a habitat for many endangered species.

We saw Alligators, including babies, a crocodile, a cottonmouth snake, tons of birds. It is not a beautiful park with great views, but the river of grass is fascinating.
