Everglades National Park, located in southern Florida, is a vast wetland ecosystem renowned for its unique biodiversity and natural beauty. This Park is the 3rd largest in the United States outside of Alaska. The park spans over 1.5 million acres and features a range of habitats, from sawgrass marshes to mangroves and pine forests. Visitors can explore the area through various activities, including hiking, canoeing, and guided tours. The park also plays a crucial role in water conservation and serves as a habitat for many endangered species.
We saw Alligators, including babies, a crocodile, a cottonmouth snake, tons of birds. It is not a beautiful park with great views, but the river of grass is fascinating.
