Death Valley National Park is a unique and dramatic destination located in eastern California and extending into Nevada. Known for its extreme temperatures, vast desert landscapes, and diverse geological features, Death Valley offers visitors a range of experiences from hiking and photography to stargazing and exploring natural wonders.
We were very pleasantly surprised and loved this park. There was a lot to see and do. There were some great hikes, the park wasn’t crowded and it wasn’t too hot. It is considered the hottest place in the United States.
It is located in eastern California and southern Nevada. Approximately 3.4 million acres (1.4 million hectares), making it the largest national park in the contiguous United States.
The park is huge but if planned correctly, we found you could see most of it in two days.
