Dead Sea

The Dead Sea is a salt lake bordered by Jordan to the east and Israel to the west. It is one of the most remarkable natural features in the world.

The Dead Sea is the lowest point on Earth’s surface on dry land, sitting about 430 meters (1,410 feet) below sea level. The Dead Sea is also one of the saltiest bodies of water in the world, with a salinity of around 34%, which is almost ten times saltier than the ocean. This high salt concentration makes the water incredibly dense and allows people to float effortlessly. We went in two different places and at one everyone was covering themselves in mud. It was an interesting experience, but not something I need to do again.
