Cuenca

What a great city. We spent the day walking and exploring. The market, churches, old streets. We went to a Panama Hat factory and Panama Hats are actually originally from Ecuador. Some other highlights of Cuenca are the beautiful architecture, especially the colonial buildings, and the stunning views of the Tomebamba River. The city’s vibrant arts scene, with numerous galleries and craft shops showcasing local talent, also stands out. Plus, Cuenca’s reputation for delicious cuisine, like its traditional Ecuadorian dishes and unique local delicacies, adds to its charm.
