Cotopaxi Volcano Ecuador

I absolutely loved the hike up the volcano; it was a memorable experience. However, the high altitude posed a significant challenge, so being well-prepared is crucial. Our guide made sure we had enough fluids, but even then, the altitude made it quite demanding. The hike itself wasn’t too difficult, but we had to take frequent breaks to catch our breath. The panoramic views were breathtaking, and I highly recommend this excursion to anyone visiting Quito. We ascended approximately 1,000 feet, from just under 15,000 to nearly 16,000 feet. At the summit, we rested in a cozy hut and savored hot chocolate, which was the perfect reward for our journey.
