Cinque Terre is a picturesque coastal region in Italy, consisting of five charming villages—Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, and Riomaggiore—each with its own unique character. The area is known for its stunning landscapes, colorful houses clinging to cliffs, terraced vineyards, and the crystal-clear waters of the Ligurian Sea. All five towns are beautiful and unique.

We did the Sentiero Azzurro (Blue Path): The most famous trail connecting all five villages along the coast. Sections of the path offer breathtaking views but check the status of trails as some may be closed due to landslides. We hiked from Monterosso to Riomaggiore. Stopped for food, drinks and a swim. We then took the train back to our hotel in Monterosso.

Cinque Terre is an amazing area to spend a few days. Many of the beaches were just rocks, but others were sandy.
