We visited both the Bran (Dracular) and Peles castles. It was a fun day. Bran is more famous, but Peles is much nicer. Bran Castle and PeleČ™ Castle are two of Romania’s most iconic and visited castles, each offering a unique glimpse into the country’s history and architecture.
Bran Often referred to as “Dracula’s Castle” due to its association with Bram Stoker’s fictional character Count Dracula, though there is no evidence that Vlad the Impaler, the inspiration for Dracula, ever lived there. Below is Bran Castle.
Bran Castle is older and has a medieval history, while PeleČ™ Castle is more modern and associated with the Romanian royal family. Below is Peles Castle.
