Cardrona, New Zealand

Tiny, scenic, and packed with character, Cardrona sits between Queenstown and Wānaka along the Crown Range Road. It’s best known for its historic hotel, alpine scenery, skiing, and relaxed rural vibe. Most people stop for a couple of hours, but it’s also a great base for outdoor adventures.

Just up the road from the hotel, is the Cardrona Bra Fence, a roadside stop known locally as “Bradrona.” A quick, oddball photo op with a donation box for breast cancer.
