We had always wanted to go to Budapest and it did not disappoint. We covered a lot of ground, especially starting with a half-day Segway tour of the city. We spent 4 days here and thought that was a good amount of time. Budapest, the capital of Hungary, it is known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Split by the Danube River into Buda and Pest, it offers a variety of attractions and experiences.
The Segway tour was a great way to cover a lot of ground and see both sides of the city:
The city comes alive at night and the sites from both the River and streets are tremendous.
Budapest is famous for its thermal baths, which are an integral part of the city’s culture and history. The thermal waters are rich in minerals and are believed to have therapeutic properties. We went to both Szechenyi and Gellert. Loved them both, Szechenyi is the biggest and the one with the yellow buildings below.
