Bolivia

Our journey through Bolivia was truly unforgettable, though we wished we had more time to explore further. Crossing the border from Peru proved challenging as we navigated through customs. We had to obtain visas on the spot, rushing between several booths for ID checks, photos, and hefty customs fees. Despite the hassle, it was all worthwhile.

Our adventure began with a delightful lunch in Copacabana, a charming lakeside town nestled on the shores of Lake Titicaca. From there, we embarked on a mesmerizing boat ride to Isla del Sol (Island of the Sun). The island’s natural beauty and rich history left us in awe. The lake is the highest navigable lake in the world.

As the sun set, we reached La Paz, the world’s highest capital city, situated at nearly 13,000 feet above sea level. The bustling cityscape, framed by the dramatic Andean peaks, was a sight to behold.

In La Paz, we immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture, exploring bustling markets, historic neighborhoods, and enjoying the local cuisine. Each moment in Bolivia revealed new layers of its unique charm and left us longing to return for more adventures in this captivating country.
