Bodo

A small town just north of the Artic Circle in Norway. We took a 24 hour train from Oslo in 1985 to spend the longest day of the year this far north. When we got there, we found a parade to celebrate 24 hours of daylight. The train ride was long, but the sights were interesting especially when we crossed the Artic Circle. The train is still very long, but now there are good flights.

We stopped in Trondheim on the way back on a Sunday. The town at the time was so quiet. We met a group of kids that had never met an American nor seen an American dollar.
