Base Las Torres is one of the most iconic destinations in Patagonia, Chile. It’s located at the base of the famous Torres del Paine peaks in Torres del Paine National Park. This area is renowned for its breathtaking natural beauty and is a highlight of the “W” trek, one of the most popular hiking routes in the park. My younger cousin told me about this hike and didn’t think we could do it. We had to prove him wrong and we did. It was certainly not easy as we hit all 4 seasons in 1 long hike. This was certainly one of our all time favorite hikes. There was a small hut where we got hot chocolate about half way up the trail. We started from the hotel at the bottom.
