Auckland, New Zealand

Auckland is New Zealand’s largest city and the main international gateway. It’s spread across two harbors with beaches, volcanoes, islands, and wine country all within easy reach.

Think “outdoor city life” more than big-city sightseeing.

Auckland has about 1.6 Million people living there which is about 33% of the entire New Zealand population.

  • Sky Tower – is visible from almost everywhere. we didn’t go up, but there are views, skywalk/skyjump. We also didn’t see people jumping.
  • Viaduct Harbour – restaurants, harbor walks and great views of the city. We took a harbour cruise which was very nice.

Some great food, we had tremendous dumplings and Ice Cream.

We also drove out to Lady’s Bay Beach to walk and relax after the long flight in.
