Arenal Volcano stands at about 1,670 meters (5,480 feet) tall. It was one of the most active volcanoes in the world until 2010, when it entered a resting phase. It’s now considered dormant but is still closely monitored. Our first day after leaving San Jose, we toured the Volcano.
