Florence and Tuscany

Tuscany is one of Italy’s most iconic and beautiful regions, known for its rolling hills, historic cities, vineyards, and art treasures. It’s a place where you can experience the essence of Italian culture, from world-class cuisine and wine to Renaissance art and architecture.

Florence (Firenze)

The capital of Tuscany and the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence is a treasure trove of art, history, and culture. It’s home to some of the world’s most famous museums and landmarks.

Tuscan is a huge area with many great towns to visit. We spent time in Siena, Volterra, Lucca, Pisa and San Gimignano. If you love the countryside, small villages and good wine, this is a great area to visit. The plaza/square in Siena is world famous for its Palio horse race and one of the nicest we have ever seen.
