Masada is an ancient fortress located on a plateau overlooking the Dead Sea in the southeastern part of Israel. It is one of the most significant and visited archaeological sites in the country, known for its historical, cultural, and symbolic importance. We waited in line to be the first ones to hike up. Not easy, but not terrible. We hiked in the dark as you can see and were rewarded with a sunrise.
