Nungwi is a fishing village and one of the most popular beach destinations on the northern tip of Zanzibar Island (Unguja), Tanzania. It’s known for its long stretches of white sandy beaches, turquoise Indian Ocean waters, and vibrant local culture. There are several fancy hotels and those are surrounded by the town with local shops.

Some of Zanzibar’s best swimming beaches (less tidal than the east coast).
