Cathedral Rock, Sedona

The Cathedral Rock Trail in Sedona, Arizona, is a popular and moderately challenging hike that offers stunning views of the iconic red rock formations.

The hike is not long, about 1.5 miles roundtrip with a 750 foot elevation gain. However, there are some steep parts and places you have to scramble some. The views are incredible.

Sedona has become so popular that you cannot drive to this hike, but have to park and take a shuttle. When we got there at 9a on a Monday, the shuttle parking was full and we had to park in town, take an additional shuttle to the trailhead shuttle. But it was well worth it as this is a spectacular hike.

Many people go to Sedona or this hike to try to experience the Vortex. We hiked and didn’t, but many people claim they did.
