The Glen Canyon Dam is a significant engineering marvel located on the Colorado River near Page, Arizona, within the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. We took a boat ride and went swimming, the water was freezing. There is so much in the Page area it is worth a few days at minimum.
We were there when the kids were much younger and just recently went back. The Glen Canyon Dam overlook is a great short hike to view the Colorado River and the Dam.
