The Kalalau Trail is one of Kauai’s most renowned hiking trails, offering breathtaking views and a challenging adventure through the stunning Na Pali Coast. This is a very long and difficult hike.
I slipped in wet mud several times and almost felt like the scene from Romancing the Stone.
You do not have to hike the entire trail, we went as far as the first beach, but we had to cross a river with a sign listing the number of people that died trying to cross in high tide. Scary.
